Description
Saboteur is a strategy and deduction card game designed for 3 to 10 players, aged 8 and up. Each game is played over three rounds, with players taking on the roles of miners or saboteurs. The objective is to collect the most gold nuggets by the end of the game.
🔸 Setup:
Role Assignment: At the start of each round, players are secretly assigned roles. The number of saboteurs varies based on the total number of players, ensuring that some players are working to hinder the group's progress.
🔸Game Components:
Path Cards: Used to build tunnels connecting the starting point to one of three goal cards, only one of which hides gold.
Action Cards: Include tools to aid progress or sabotage others' efforts, such as breaking or repairing tools.
Gold Nugget Cards: Represent the gold collected, with values ranging from one to three nuggets.
🔸Gameplay:
Turns: Players take turns playing path or action cards, aiming to construct a continuous tunnel from the start card to one of the goal cards.
Sabotage and Cooperation: While miners collaborate to find the gold, saboteurs attempt to mislead and obstruct the group's efforts without revealing their identities.
🔸 Round Conclusion: A round ends when a path connects the start card to a goal card. If the gold is found, miners share the gold nuggets; if not, saboteurs receive the gold.
Strategy Tips:
Observation: Pay attention to other players' actions to deduce their roles.
Timing: Decide when to cooperate and when to sabotage, balancing team efforts with personal gain.
Adaptability: Be prepared to adjust your strategy based on the evolving game dynamics and the actions of others.
